Rooney make sure Gibson to leave
Liverpool - Darron Gobson admitted that his decision to join Everton from Manchester United, after he gets input from Wayne Rooney, the England international striker who do the opposite movement.
Lack of opportunity to play in United's first team - coupled with the decision of manager Alex Ferguson who prefer to play the veteran midfielder Paul Scholes during United's win over Manchester City in the FA Cup - making Ireland international midfielder was confident that this is a good time to leave Old Trafford.
"I've talked to Wayne Rooney about it and after that, and after seeing the facilities (Everton), then this adalaha an easy decision," said Gibson, who also had discussions with Australia's international players, Tim Cahill, and former United player which has now become the Toffees captain Phil Neville, before deciding to move.
"He (Rooney) said to me, if it is a big club and he really enjoyed his time there and his men," said Gibson.
"The words of him and people like Tim Cahill and Phil Neville, makes me confident to come."
Gibson, who will enter a team for the match against Aston Villa on Saturday, has signed a contract duration of four and a half years with a reported salary of one million pounds, which still can be increased to two million pounds depending on appearances.
